RADWIN Launches the 5000 Jet PtMP Featuring a Smart Beamforming Antenna

RADWIN 5000 JET point-to-multipoint delivers highest capacity in the most challenging interference conditions

4Gon Solutions is proud to announce that RADWIN, the global provider of sub-6 GHz broadband wireless solutions, today launched the RADWIN 5000 JET point-to-multipoint solution. The JET platform sets a new performance bar in the industry, delivering highest capacity and longer range than any other point-to-multipoint system in the industry. The JET antenna’s Smart Beamforming mechanism delivers a point-to-point experience with the economics of a point-to-multipoint solution. The JET system cancels radio interference and enables operation in the most heavily congested unlicensed bands and in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions, making it the ideal solution for broadband wireless applications. The solution consists of 4 models Base Stations (RADWIN HBS 5B00, RADWIN HBU 510) and Subscriber Units (RADWIN HSU 525RADWIN HSU 550).

Sharon Sher, RADWIN’s President and CEO: “RADWIN 5000 JET is a groundbreaking solution engineered for operation in the toughest environments for wireless. We have unparalleled experience borne of hundreds of thousands of deployments  globally, and JET is the pinnacle of our expertise in the field. JET is the next generation of the widely deployed RADWIN 5000 PtMP series and backward compatible with the RADWIN 5000 install base, enabling RADWIN’s existing customer base to easily upgrade their network and benefit from JET’s unique advantages.

Concluded Sharon: “JET’s Smart Beamforming antenna and innovative air-interface are optimized for dense, large-scale network deployments. JET empowers Service Providers to deliver broadband access service with assured SLA over the unlicensed 5.x GHz bands in dense urban areas. It also addresses service providers’ requirements for exceedingly high network throughput, while drastically reducing the amount of spectrum needed for these deployments. For legacy WiMAX operators, JET enables maximizing the utilization of the scarce 3.x GHz licensed spectrum.”

RADWIN 5000 JET Highlights:

  • Base station featuring Smart Beamforming antenna
  • Up to 250 Mbps per sector; 1 Gbps per site (4 sectors)
  • Multiband radio: 3.3-3.8 GHz or 5.1-5.8 GHz
  • Interference cancellation based on the narrow beam antenna
  • Guaranteed SLA per end-user
  • Small form factor, ruggedized IP67 units
  • Backward compatible with RADWIN 5000 install base
