Extricom to Present the Secrets of Successful WLAN Deployment for Education, at BETT 2013
Extricom, the enterprise wireless LAN (WLAN) manufacturer that provides high bandwidth, wire-like reliability and seamless mobility, has announced that it will be showcasing its solutions for education at the BETT 2013 Show in London, England, from the dates January 30th to February 2nd.
Extricom design and manufacturer award-winning Wireless LAN Systems, which represent a new generation of enterprise WLAN infrastructures for providing converged data, voice (VoWLAN), and video services. They offer a range of Wi-Fi Indoor solutions, with products including the Extricom EXRP-40 UltraThin Access Point and the Extricom EXSW800 8-Port Wireless LAN Switch.
Visitors to Extricom’s stand (C-345) will have the opportunity to learn the key elements of successful WLAN deployment from system engineers who have deployed hundreds of Extricom WLAN’s in schools worldwide. Visitors will also be able to enter a draw for an iPad, which is a prime element of the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) trend that is making 802.11n-powered devices ubiquitous in schools around the globe.
In an era of intensive wireless usage powered by the market explosion of smart phones, iPads, iPods, tablets and other communication devices, Extricom delivers a robust, reliable, and responsive Wi-Fi connection with seamless mobility for voice, data, and video applications. This is critical in an educational setting, where teachers and hundreds or thousands of students log into the WLAN and depend on it to deliver bandwidth-intensive, multimedia-based learning all day long.
Extricom’s WLAN will be displayed through live demonstrations, videos and presentations, giving attendees the opportunity to experience first-hand the unique benefits of the Extricom WLAN. Extricom’s broad experience in educational WLAN deployments, including replacement of traditional WLAN’s, has shown that educational institutions have particularly heavy bandwidth requirements and client densities that can overwhelm cell-based WLAN’s. The Extricom WLAN replaces micro-cells with the Channel Blanket™ architecture. The Channel Blanket is very effective at delivering high-bandwidth and high-throughput in extremely dense client environments, such as classrooms and auditoriums. For that reason, many schools worldwide are leveraging the Channel Blanket to achieve highly successful WLAN deployments that are enabling a true e-learning environment.
